This Italian silk crepe jacquard is a study in quiet luxury. Woven with an understated polka dot jacquard that only reveals itself as the fabric moves, it offers a subtle interplay between matte and sheen beneath a lively paisley print in tones of lilac, saffron, and cherise. The silk crepe base lends a soft, fluid drape that glides beautifully, ideal for garments with graceful movement—think softly pleated skirts, relaxed blouses, or bias-cut dresses.
This fabric has a lovely bounce to its fall, with the signature texture of silk crepe lending both structure and fluidity. The jacquard underlayer catches the light like a whisper—barely there, until you see it dance. This design was made exclusively for Desai Fabrics and is available in another equally elegant colourway.
For inspiration, look to the elegant silk ensembles of Carolina Herrera or the painterly paisleys favoured in Etro’s early collections. For something more directional, consider a fluid longline shirt in the style of Dries Van Noten’s SS17 silhouettes.
