This Italian cotton lawn is a visual journey — lightweight, breathable, and cool against the skin, yet structured enough for crisp silhouettes. Woven from fine cotton yarns, the fabric offers a matte finish and a gentle drape, making it ideal for summer shirts, vintage-style dresses, boxy co-ords or a retro caftan. 

A playful nod to post-war modernism, this Italian cotton lawn showcases a highly stylised illustrative print. The artwork is arranged in a loosely gridded collage, with blocks framed by geometric borders—chevrons, zigzags, triangles, and squares. Within each frame sits a hand-drawn architectural scene: domed pavilions, archways, sailing boats, and palms painted in a simplified, expressive manner—like travel sketches coloured with gouache. The colour palette is sun-bleached yet graphic: faded coral pinks, clay beiges, mint greens, and sooty charcoal lines dance against a backdrop of painterly washes and dry brush strokes.

The overall effect is a vibrant, stylised landscape, somewhere between mid-century travel posters, and Paul Klee-inspired abstraction. It calls to mind the blocky, painterly resort prints worn by Slim Aarons' sun-soaked subjects.

Fabrics, trims or anything cut to size are non-returnable and not exchangeable.

Buttons, motifs, or anything sold as a whole item (not cut as fabric must be), may be exchanged or returned within 14 days of receipt, for a refund (minus shipping costs).  Returned items must be in the original packaging, intact, and in the same condition as purchased. Refunds for items returned damaged or in unsellable condition will not be processed.

Do not Dry Clean, Machine washable at 30°C, Line dry, Iron before wearing.

Whilst the fabric is opaque, we recommend adding a lining to give the garment structure, shape, and a comfortable fit.
